Everything you need to know about VarietyGamer.win and how to track your gaming variety score
VarietyGamer.win is a fun web application that calculates your variety gaming score based on how many games you've played across different genres and categories. The goal is to celebrate gaming diversity - from indie gems to AAA titles, from strategy to simulation, PvP to single-player experiences.
Unlike traditional gaming trackers that focus on achievements or playtime, we focus on the breadth of your gaming experience. Have you tried a little bit of everything? That's what variety gaming is all about!
Starting is simple:
No account needed - your progress is saved locally in your browser.
Each daily 100‑game challenge keeps track of the highest score (percentage of games marked played) submitted by any qualifying player. The first person to reach that score triggers a celebration animation; subsequent players must beat it to celebrate again.
The first time you qualify on a given day the site will offer to submit your score using your Steam profile name (fetched automatically). You can cancel the prompt to remain anonymous; no custom names are allowed in order to prevent abuse.
To participate you must enter a SteamID and have your profile/game details public so the site can verify your library. High scores reset when the list rolls over to a new day and are not stored permanently.
No account required! VarietyGamer.win works in your browser. Your game selections and progress are stored on your device (and mirrored to the server anonymously so a refresh doesn't lose your run).
This means:
Our game library is curated from Steam's own database, updated regularly to reflect current trends. We source data from:
Each day the server generates a fresh daily list of 100 games drawn from a much larger curated catalogue spanning all major genres — from classic titles to recent releases — so every day's challenge is different.
Your Variety Gamer Score is a simple percentage — the portion of the 100 games on the daily list you've played. A lower percentage typically indicates broader variety; a higher percentage means you've played more of today's list.
Yes — use the links at the bottom of the homepage or open a permalink like /?list=YYYY-MM-DD to load a past daily list. Share text includes the list date and a permalink so others can load the same list.
The definition is up to you! Generally, if you've:
...then it counts as "Played It." You don't need to have completed the game or earned achievements. This is about experience, not completion.
Be honest with yourself - the score is more meaningful when it reflects your real gaming journey!
Yes! Click the "Undo" button to step back to any game you've already voted on and change your answer.
You can undo as many times as you like, all the way back to the first game. The progress bar and your score update as you step back.

The scorecard is optimized for social media sharing with professional graphics and your stats prominently displayed.
There's no full global leaderboard, but there is a daily high score: the best verified score on each day's 100-game list is shown on the site. Beat it (and verify your library via Steam sync) to claim the top spot for the day!
